According to a recent report from A Bola, Premier League side Manchester United have officially opened talks with Sporting Lisbon regarding a potential move for Bruno Fernandes. The midfielder has already scored 23 goals this season, and is considered to be one of the primary targets for the Red Devils in the upcoming summer transfer window.
He has been with Sporting since back in 2017, when he made the move over from Sampdoria. Since then he has been arguably their star player as both a goalscoring midfielder and a midfield general.
Fernandes, who is also a Portugal international, has been turning heads for quite some time now, with Liverpool and Chelsea also being interested in acquiring his signature.
However, United’s interest could depend on whether or not Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is given the managerial post on a permanent basis next season. If he doesn’t, then United may look towards other targets depending on what kind of manager they bring in.
